Definition of Binaural

Binaural: Relating to both ears. From the Latin bini, a pair, + auris, ear = a pair (of) ears = both ears. Synonymous with stereophonic.

While hearing aids may be binaural (in both ears) or monaural (in just one ear), binaural aids are generally considered to be superior.
