Definition of Extrauterine

Extrauterine: Outside the uterus (the womb). As opposed to intrauterine: inside the uterus.

For example, normal pregnancies are intrauterine; extrauterine pregnancies can occur in the uterine tube or abdominal cavity and are distinctly abnormal.
