Definition of Ophthalmopathy

Ophthalmopathy: Any eye disease. External ophthalmopathy may refer to any disease of the eyelid, cornea, conjunctiva, or eye muscles while internal ophthalmopathy refers to any disease in the interior of the eye. From the Greek roots ophthalmos (eye) + pathos (suffering).
