XYY syndrome: A chromosomal disorder that affects
males only, caused by the presence of an extra Y
chromosome. Symptoms may include increased height, speech
delays, learning disabilities, mild to moderate mental
retardation, and behavioral disturbance. Also known as
polysomy Y syndrome.
